I am delighted to report to you following the success of the dinner we held in Yerushalayim during Chol Ha'Moed Sukkot. Nearly two hundred guests were in attendance as we celebrated the onset of Nahal Haredi's second decade of service in the IDF and paid tribute to one of our own - distinguished soldier Sergeant Daniel Meltsev - and of course our special guest of honor, Rabbi Hershel Billet.

09//1/2008 150 New Recruits Join Nahal Haredi!
Nahal Haredi achieved an impressive milestone with the induction of its largest-ever platoon of new recruits.
Declaration Ceremony
Soon after the soldiers join the army, a ceremony is held where the soldiers receive their weapon and Tanach and declare their faith to the country, army and its citizens.
Beret Ceremony
After four months of vigorous advanced training, Nahal Haredi soldiers are rewarded the battalion’s beret.
Ceremony to take place at Amunition Hill in Jerusalem.
Decleration ceremony
Soon after the soldiers join the army, a ceremony is held where the soldiers receive their weapon and Tanach and declare their faith to the country, army and its citizens.

After advanced training the unit is rewarded the beret which belongs to the Nahal Haredi battalion.
Proclamation of allegiance ceremony Recruitment 21 - "TZUR"
At this ceremony the soldiers proclaim allegiance to the State and receive a bible, weapon, and badge
Siyum
Siyum Masechet Yevamot for Nahal Haredi soldiers in active duty who participated in the daf yomi shiur delivered every evening by Rav Oz Kapach.

2/21/2007 French Delegation visits Nahal Haredi Battalion
A delegation of nearly 300 communal leaders and Rabbis headed by the Chief Rabbi of France, Rabbi Joseph Sitruk, landed in Israel on a high level fact finding mission that included a meeting with the soldiers of the Nahal Haredi battalion.

IDF Unleashes a New Infantry Fighting Brigade
At a ceremony held on October 19,2006 the IDF officially opened the new 900th Brigade named "Kfir" (young lion).
More of a reorganization effort than something totally new, the IDF has structured a brigade that contains special anti-terror infantry combat battalions. Very revealing and important for the Nahal Haredi, the Netzah Yehuda Battalion now takes its place shoulder to shoulder with the other five veteran infantry battalions (Nachshon, Shimshon, Duchifat, Lavi and Haruv).
